We drove through the mountains and the Sinai desert from Sharm El Sheikh to Taba Heightsn which is about 20 clicks from Aqaba, on the Jordanian boader. It is very dangerous ride, with three check points and through poor driving our Egyptian driver almost killed us twice.
There were road works, signage just a battered cone and an old tire. We swerved to miss that and ended up on the wrong side of the road and then the driver stayed there. Andreas (Wissdorf) and I were both screaming from the back seat move over to the right. There were double white lines as we were approaching the bow of a hill. The driver couldn't understand us and was looking in the mirror saying yes sir. At the last moment he moved over just as the road was split in the center by a barrier.
The next one was on a mountain road he decided to over take on a blind corner. Again we shouted to pull back in, we had a truck flashing his lights and at the last moment he pulled back.
