THE SONIC FIREFLIES | REVEL

Created by Christopher Janney & Mitch Gorshin, The Sonic Fireflies is an interactive experience that responds by a guests presence. A field of more than 80 'Fireflies' are organically hung throughout the space each equipped with a light, audio source and trigger. Each one responding uniquely yet harmoniously. If a single person walks through the space, the experience is very different than if a hundred people move through. From personal to symphonic - each uniquely entertaining and never the same.

St. Kitts | West Indies

Having just returned from the West Indies and a fabulous stay at The Marriott St. Kitts Resort, I thought it was about time for me to begin to tell others about my adventures and discoveries as I continue to make my way around the globe. On this very trip I had the pleasure of stepping into Flor van der Vaart's world of hospitality to experience Kittitian life on the Leeward's. Whilst there, I shook hands with the famous Mr. X at his local joint named 'Shiggidy Shack' (a short walk from the resort on Frigate Bay). 'The Shack' is where guests can enjoy fresh Caribbean lobster from ocean to grill and an ice cold Heineken on the beach for about 28 bucks USD. Superb. That's true value......local style!

  2. Ahhh! On the left is a bottle of local hot sauce called 'Scorned Woman' and on the right, a bottle of a local grapefruit soda called 'Ting'.......as for what I am looking at?.......The sunset of course! I was "lime'n" as they say on St. Kitts.

  5. I wanted to comment about the limited use of lights in eating establishments. This isn't something I agree with because on a recent trip to the Sizzler here in California, the lights were so dim that my dad complained that he couldn't see our food that well (although we ate it).
